I remember when all this was comment fields
Hello.
Let’s get the potted bio out of the way first.
I am a Mechanical Engineer. I started out young, wanting to save the planet with a revolutionary invention or a one-fell-swoop solution. When lightning did not strike, I learned a deeply detailed and complex profession over many years, and now I’m trying to use that to save the planet instead. It’s a good planet. I should hate to have to get a new one.
I’m a citizen of two countries; the UK and the USA. Country-sized groups of people should act for the benefit of others.
I live in Brooklyn, New York, I am married to the starry-magical Krissa, and we have two delightful sons. Krissa and I met in person at a birthday party in 2004 after a year or more of reading each other’s blogs, which I would heartily recommend as a swirly traditional-digital method of getting to know someone before meeting them and realizing they are, in fact, someone you could spend the rest of your life with.
I started blogging in 2002, back on blogger.com and then autoblography.co.uk, which trundled to a halt sometime around 2013.
I want a space for writing and thinking publicly again; one that allows me breathing air, elbow room, and the freedom to find a voice I miss.
